Hold Zynga Accountable! Stop Playing Farmville & Mafia Wars NOW! You’ve Been Scammed Big-Time!

Did you read ValleyWag's post entirely, or am I missing something here? According to Zynga's response, they were running a Haiti relief campaign (at 50% payout) before the earthquake. After the earthquake, they started a new campaign with a 100% payout to WFP. Zinga has addressed Folho's allegations that they (Zynga) were cutting half off the top and keeping it for themselves, and I have yet to see anyone disprove that.

My point: Don't rush to judgment. Zynga isn't guilty until proven innocent. I would hate to see a company that donated $2.4 million to help Haiti be at the receiving end of a damaging boycott just because some blogger in Brazil didn't understand the numbers he was looking at, and then the social media firestorm that followed burned so quickly that it couldn't be extinguished by facts before the damage was irreparable.

Or really, am I somehow totally misreading Zynga's response?

Hi Andy. Thanks for your response. I think what is happening here is the usual journo/PR problem where there is confusion in Zynga's response, as well as its interpretations of it. I did try to reply to Mr. Pincus on ValleyWag's post, but none of my posts were accepted. I posted all of my entries and tried to get some clarification from Mr. Pincus. Here is my most recent (attempted) post.

@igriensottom: Mr. Pincus. I too have been covering this story. I think it is clear now that there were two separate campaigns. There is obviously confusion surrounding Zynga's response, as well as the interpretations of that response. Would you at least concede that the “white corn” aspect of the fundraising efforts may have been somewhat confusing to some players? If so, do you plan to make changes in the future to ensure directions are more clearly spelled out for everyone, but especially for those who may not be Farmville gurus? Thank you. Jennifer Windrum

Oh paaalease, people always have to start crap against companies. Who cares what portion they donated to Haiti atleast they donated something and if you ask me we should keep our money in our own country and help the people here

forth. Fix and repair all of your products so they work without errors.
Remember Zynga we DO NOT NEED YOU, YOU NEED US. So listen to us and make
the necessary changes to keep us happy. Get the word out post to your
wall, post to all Zynga support sites! Repost daily do not give up the
fight. Then swear to participate in the boycott of all Zynga games and

Boycott Zynga and Facebook Valentine’s Day February 14th. Send a message that we are not going to take it anymore. We will not be forced into changing our layout to the horrible timeline. We are tired of playing Zynga games with challenges that are impossible to complete and constant error and reboot messages. If you agree that changes need to be made then repost this on your wall. So on February 14th don’t login to FB or Zynga. United we stand, divided we fall. This is the only thing they will understand.
